Bidding & Contracts

  1. Change eBuilder status to "Bidding."
  2. Arrange and advertise pre-bid conference.
  3. Prepare bid package.
  4. Set up bid package in eBuilder.
  5. Bid opening
  6. Prepare for contract execution.

Contracts

If the Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) is over $500,000:

  • Complete a (Board of Trustees) BOT action item.
  • Send to Associate and Assistant Directors for review.
  • Upon BOT approval, move to contract execution.

If the MACC is under $500,000 or the BOT has approved the action item:

  • Notify Capital Budget of the price.
  • Request initiation of contract.

Hold 15 minute meeting with Capital Budget to review contractor's retainage before signing the contract.
